The Memphis Police Department (MPD) is investigating a Thursday night shooting that left one person critically injured.
According to MPD, officers responded shortly after 11 p.m. on May 30 to the Love’s truck stop located at 3371 Lamar Avenue in southeastern Memphis.
A male victim was found suffering a gunshot wound at the scene. He was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Police do not have a suspect in custody, and they say that the shooting might have occurred at Getwell and American Way.

On Thursday, May 23, a shooting took place at this Love’s location that left one man dead at the scene and another injured. Police were able to locate a suspect.
In March 2024, another man died at the scene after he was shot at the truck stop location.
