CVSA sets January date for five day human trafficking awareness operation
The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has released the dates for an upcoming human trafficking awareness event.
In the U.S., the CVSA’s Human Trafficking Awareness Initiative (HTAI) will take place January 13 — 17, 2025.
In Canada, the HTAI is scheduled for February 17 — 21, 2025.
In Mexico, the HTAI will take place March 17 — 21, 2025.
During the five day event, CVSA jurisdictions will work to educate commercial motor vehicle drivers, motor carriers, law enforcement officers and the general public about the crime of human trafficking, the signs to look for, and what to do if you suspect someone is being trafficked.
The HTAI seeks to reduce human trafficking throughout North America through coordinated enforcement and investigative and educational awareness measures within the commercial motor vehicle industry, CVSA says.
