Dash cam catches big rig busting open, spilling oodles of raisins on California freeway

A motorist’s dash cam captured a wild big rig crash that left a California roadway covered in boxes of raisins.

The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. on August 14 in Glendale, California.

A semi truck traveling on S.R. 2 crashed into a center median, causing the trailer to burst open and spill a large load of raisins out into the active lanes of traffic.

No injuries were reported.

The California Highway Patrol’s Altadena Division shared photos of the cargo spill.
