A CMV driver’s dash cam captured a harrowing close call with a motorcyclist who lost control in Minneapolis on Monday.
The video was captured by a dump truck driver on I-35W at Hennepin Avenue.
In the video, you can see a motorcycle rider losing control and striking the guardrail on the right side of the roadway. The motorcycle veered back left onto the interstate, laid over, and slid further left.
A Kia ahead of the dash cammer moved left to avoid the rider. The dash cammer was unable to avoid rear-ending the Kia, but managed to move over in time to avoid running over the rider lying in the roadway.
The CMV spun out almost 360 degrees as it came to a stop.
The motorcyclist suffered non life-threatening injuries. No one else was hurt.
