On Monday, the Idaho State Police (ISP) shared dash cam video highlighting a trooper’s close call with an ‘inattentive semi-driver.’
The dash cam video was captured on January 17 on I-84 near Meridian, Idaho, and was publicly released on March 4.
“Despite clear warnings – flares, lights, and arrows – an inattentive semi-driver swerved into the median to avoid hitting his vehicle. Thankfully, Trooper Rowley’s quick reflexes saved the day, but it’s a stark reminder of the dangers our first responders face,” ISP said.
ISP shared the video as a reminder to drivers to move over for emergency vehicles and to pay attention to the road.
“ISP troopers tirelessly keep our roadways safe, but even they face terrifying close calls,” state police said.
