Dash cam shows SUV driver attempting to run big rig off Virginia interstate, trucker says

Dash cam video captured this week in Virginia shows an intense road rage interaction involving an SUV and a big rig.

The video was shared by truck driver Andrew Cockerham on June 25, 2024.

Cockerham states:

Today at 11:45 AM just outside of Roanoke, VA on I81 South around the 156 mm, I was nearly ran off the road by the vehicle you see entering on the right. It proceeded to cut me off. Once I got over in the right lane, the driver proceeded to pull his gun out and fired a round off at me. The video doesn’t show that part.

Please share this video in hopes that we can identify the driver. We know that it’s a navy Nissan Armada 2017-2020ish model. The driver was a white male wearing glasses and had beard. Wearing a bright yellow shirt and baseball cap. He appeared to have Don’t Tread On Me tags but we can’t make the plate out.

WDBJ reports that Virginia State Police are investigating the apparent road rage incident.
