Police in Ontario took a truck driver into custody after his truck stalled in an intersection, leading to an alarming discovery.
The incident happened on Sunday, November 24th when the tractor trailer stalled at the intersection of Cedar Creek Road and Industrial Road in North Dumfries in Ontario, Canada.
According to the Waterloo Regional Police, officers pulled up to the driver as he was stalled in the intersection and discovered him attempting to connect his air brakes with zip ties.
The unnamed truck driver was issued seven Highway Traffic Act charges, including Operating an Unsafe Vehicle.
“The Waterloo Regional Police Service monitors, enforces, and investigates road safety issues throughout the [region] and works to improve road safety on an ongoing basis for our community,” officers wrote in a post.
