Driver in push truck flips while aiding oversize load

A truck driver is dead after flipping his rig while driving as a push truck in Texas over the weekend.

The accident happened on December 14th at about 5:42 p.m. in Apple Springs, Texas on Highway 94.

According to Lufkin Daily News, 43-year-old Ian Manatse was in a 2016 Kenworth driving as a push truck for an oversize load being hauled by a 2023 Kenworth.

Manatse was then transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver in the 2023 Kenworth, 41-year-old Cody Herman, was not hurt in the incident.

A portion of Highway 94 was shut down for several hours until the accident was cleared.
