Five people dead in wreck involving semi truck, SUV, ATV

Five people are dead after a serious crash involving a tractor trailer hauling doubles, an SUV, and an ATV. 

The accident happened on September 26th in Spring Glen, Utah on US 6 near Price. 

According to 2 KUTV, an SUV tried to pull into an on-ramp lane on the eastbound side of the highway but overshot the lane, sending the car into the path of a semi truck hauling doubles. The tractor trailer tried to avoid hitting the SUV and struck another car as a result. The second car was pushed into an embankment. The semi truck and second car then collided with an ATV traveling on the shoulder of the highway. 

All four people inside of the second SUV, as well as the person driving the ATV, died in the wreck. The driver of the SUV that initiated the wreck sustained minor injuries. The truck driver also sustained only minor injuries in the incident. 

The accident is still under investigation.
