A former WWE wrestler was arrested earlier this month after stabbing a man while working as a security guard at a Love’s Travel Stop.
Charles Scaggs, also known as 2 Cold Scorpio and Flash Funk, was arrested on June 15th at the Love’s Travel Stop in Kansas City, Missouri.
According to PennLive, Scaggs was working as a security guard at the truck stop when he saw a man lighting a cigarette inside of the building and told him that he could not smoke inside. Scaggs says that the man then threatened him, and the two wrestled outside before Scaggs pulled out a knife and stabbed the man in self-defense.
The stabbing did not end the fight, and Scaggs said he had to stab the man “a few more times” before the altercation was over. The man was taken to the hospital after police found him “bleeding from his head, chest, buttocks, legs and abdomen.” The man was “in and out of consciousness” while being transported to the hospital.
The stabbed man’s condition is not known. It is unclear if he was a truck driver.
58-year-old Scaggs was arrested and charged with two felonies. He has since been released on bond and is scheduled to return to court next month. No further information has been released.
