A homicide suspect in a semi truck was fatally shot by police in Pennsylvania on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The incident involved Santiago Gutierrez, 29, who was wanted for the fatal shooting of Jhonny Torres, 25, which occurred on Sunday, December 8, in Harrisburg.
Gutierrez was behind the wheel of a white tractor trailer on Tuesday morning when he became involved in a standoff with police as they tried to take him into custody.
WHP reports that Gutierrez used the semi truck to ram police cruisers on Cameron Street as he tried to flee the scene.
“They were trying to get him out of the truck and then he started ramming into the police cars and stuff to get out of the parking lot. And then started going up the road and that’s when they started shooting,” witness Eric Mendenhall told WGAL.
A shootout occurred, with law enforcement officers firing into the semi truck.
