A portion of Interstate 10 is shut down following a crash involving three semi trucks near the Arizona/California border on Friday morning.
The accident and subsequent shutdown occurred on November 15th just before 5 a.m. on eastbound I-10 near Quartsite, Arizona.
According to AZ Family News, three semi trucks and two other vehicles collided on eastbound I-10, killing one person. Few details have been released, but injuries sustained in the crash were all minor. The identity of the person killed has not been made public.Â
As of 1:15 p.m. MST, the eastbound lanes of I-10 were still shut down with no estimated time of reopening. Traffic is being diverted at Dome Rock Road.Â
The accident is still under investigation.
