Interstate 10 was shut down for almost 15 hours after a semi truck overturned in a fatal accident.
The incident occurred on Monday morning, December 9th at around 2:45 a.m. on the westbound side of Interstate 10 in Desert Center, California.
According to News Channel 3, the semi truck overturned and was already engulfed in flames when the first fire engine arrived.
The truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:26 a.m. His identity has not been released, and the accident is still under investigation.
The interstate was reopened at about 5 p.m. the following evening. No further information has been released.
