The Iowa State Patrol Commercial Motor Vehicle Unit is opening two new I-80 CMV inspection facilities.
On January 1, Iowa troopers announced the opening of a new CMV inspection building at the Jasper weigh station along I-80.
“With this building, inspections can be done in a safe environment and in a climate controlled area. There will also (soon) be public restrooms available 24/7 for drivers to use,” the Iowa State Patrol Commercial Motor Vehicle Unit said.
A “nearly identical” CMV inspection building is set to open at the Dallas weigh station on I-80 in the near future, the Iowa State Patrol said.
