Iowa trucking company building a total loss after fire

Multiple fire fighting agencies responded to a large fire at trucking company facility in Greenfield, Iowa, over the weekend.

Around 4 p.m. on December 27, firefighters responded to G & H Motor Freight Lines on the north side of Greenfield for a reported structure fire.

Officials said that the blaze started in the shop, then moved “rapidly” through a storage facility and into a second story office area.

No injuries were reported.

The Greenfield Volunteer Fire Department said that the building is a complete loss.

Firefighters returned to the scene on Saturday morning after hot spots reignited, causing “piles of powdered egg” to continue to burn for an extended period.

You can see video of the fire shared by the Stuart Fire Department, which provided a ladder truck to assist at the scene.
