Load left sitting on shoulder after semi truck overpass strike

Published:

A semi truck lost its load after striking an overpass recently repaired for a similar incident in Ohio on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened on October 23rd at around 2 p.m. in Springfield Township, Ohio on the Ohio Turnpike.

According to Fox8, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of the turnpike at the Beard Road overpass. The collision with the overpass knocked the load from the flatbed trailer and left it sitting on the shoulder of the roadway.

Similar incidents have occurred in the same area previously, and the most recent repairs to the overpass were completed only months ago.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is still investigating the incident.
