‘Lost’ driver mangles semi truck and trailer on low railroad bridge

Officials in a Minnesota city say that a truck driver involved in a bridge strike on Tuesday “got lost.”

The bridge strike occurred in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, on July 30.

According to Cottage Grove Minnesota Public Safety, “the driver was unfamiliar with Cottage Grove and got lost trying to make a delivery to the business park.”

Images shared by city officials show significant damage to both the truck and trailer caused by the driver’s attempt to pass under a low railroad bridge.

No injuries were reported.
