A “lucky” trucker survived a twisted single truck wreck in the Lake Tahoe region of California on Thursday morning.
The accident happened on February 29th just before 8 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 80 at the Donner Lake interchange in the Lake Tahoe region of California.
The California Highway Patrol in Truckee reports that the semi truck was the only vehicle involved in the wreck, which forced them to shut down a section of eastbound I-80.
The wreck occurred during a bout of winter weather in the area and there is a blizzard warning in effect for the area though 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 3rd, reported the Sacramento Bee.
“The driver was extremely lucky and sustained only minor injuries,” CHP wrote in a Facebook post.
The exact reason for the wreck is not clear. No further information has been released.
