Mack tanker truck backs over pedestrian

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Mack tanker truck in reverse in Texas on Wednesday morning. 

The tanker truck accident occurred on May 22nd in Tom Green County, Texas near San Angelo at 10:10 a.m. near the 9500 block of South York Road. 

According to San Angelo Live, 40-year-old Cody Brazeal was driving the Mack tanker truck for work when he put it into reverse. As he backed up, Brazeal accidentally ran over 63-year-old pedestrian, Robert Stevens. 

Stevens was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have deemed the incident an accident. Weather and road conditions were not factors in the accident. 

The incident is still under investigation.
