An Indianapolis resident was arrested this week for allegedly firing on a moving semi truck on I-70.
Around 2:15 p.m. on July 3, police received a 911 call about shots fired on a semi truck traveling on I-70 near mile marker 101 in Hancock County, Indiana.
Troopers were able to move into position to intercept the suspect vehicle.
A traffic stop was initiated.
According to Indiana State Police (ISP), 22 year old Gregory Davis was the only occupant of the suspect vehicle. Troopers also discovered a handgun in the vehicle.
A detective met with the semi truck driver who called 911.
The truck driver was uninjured, but there was damage to the passenger side of the semi truck consistent with gunshots.
Davis was arrested and booked into the the Hancock County Jail.
ISP says that they believe road rage was the motive for the shooting.
Also on July 3, a semi truck driver was shot and critically injured while driving on I-65 in Whitestown, Indiana. No arrests have been made.
