A semi truck driver was caught in a major mudslide in Bellingham, Washington, on Sunday morning.
The Washington State Patrol responded to the incident around 5 a.m. on Sunday, October 27 on northbound I-5 at mile marker 254, north of Iowa Street in Bellingham.

Heavy rainfall triggered a mudslide, spilling “about 2000 cubic yards of debris … across lanes of I-5,” according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
“Two vehicles, a passenger car and a semi truck, were stuck in about two feet of mud,” the Bellingham Fire Department said.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Portions of I-5 were shuttered until 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
