Motorist turns himself in after fleeing road rage shooting with semi truck

A motorist is in jail after turning himself in for a road rage shooting with a semi truck. 

The incident occurred on Saturday, July 20th near the I-59 exit on U.S. Hwy 49 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. 

According to WDAM 7, a witness called police after seeing a motorist in a pickup fire several shots at a commercial vehicle. The bullets struck the truck cab, a front tire, and the radiator, but no one was hurt. 

53-year-old motorist, Denton Temple, fled the scene, but later turned himself in to police and admitted to the crime voluntarily. He is a previously convicted felon. 

Temple is now facing one count of aggravated assault: use of a deadly weapon, one count of shooting into a motor vehicle and one count of weapon: possession by a convicted felon. Temple is being held in the Forrest County Jail.
