Nashville PD wants help finding murderer in death of truck driver shot to death at Love’s

The person responsible for the truck driver shot to death at an East Nashville Love’s is still at large after Monday’s tragedy.

37-year-old truck driver David White was found shot to death in his cab at the Love’s Travel Center in East Nashville on January 8th. White was found by Love’s employees after his company, KA Logistics, called the center to ask for a welfare check because he wasn’t answering the phone. White was last seen alive at 7:20 p.m. on January 7th, while buying food inside of the travel center.

Since then, the Metro Nashville Police Department has asked the public for help in finding White’s murderer, reported WKRN. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

“We try to stick together and look out for one another, and it’s sad to hear that one of our brothers has fallen,” said truck driver Tom Basham, who didn’t know White but was at the truck stop during the investigation. “It’s very heartbreaking.”

“I send out to his family, my condolences. It can be dangerous anywhere, you don’t really know,” said Kyre Moseley, another trucker who was in the area.

KA Logistics has issued the following statement about the tragedy:

David was not just a member of the KA Logistics Inc. team; he was a dedicated professional, a reliable colleague, and a friend to many within our organization. His unwavering commitment to his responsibilities and his positive demeanor left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of working alongside him. As we reflect on the loss of our dear colleague, let us remember David for the positive energy he brought to our workplace and the warmth he shared with everyone around him.
