Navistar seat belt recall will affect around 300 semi trucks

Published:

A Navistar seat belt recall will affect just under 300 severe and medium duty rigs

The recall was issued on January 18th and affects 297 2024 International HV and MV model trucks.

The affected rigs may have a seat belt defect involving the driver’s seat belt tether bolt. The bolt may not be properly seated in the anchor, which could result in an issue at the anchor point, causing a failure to restrain the driver in the event of an accident.

Dealers will inspect and replace any affected seat belts for free. Letters notifying the owners of this potential defect are4 expected to be mailed in March.

Navistar customer service can be reached at 1-800-448-7825 with recall number 24501. The NHTSA recall number is 24V-026.
