New York CMV troopers take pickup out of service for weight violations

Published:

New York State Police (NYSP) nabbed a pickup truck on Monday for weight violations.

On Monday, July 22, NYSP’s Troop F Commercial Vehicle Unit (CVU) stopped a pickup in the city of Suffern.

Images shared by NYSP show the pickup hauling a dumpster overflowing with items, with the load strapped together with bungee cords.

“The truck is rated for 7,050 lbs – this one weighed 11,650 lbs. The truck was placed out of service for exceeding his tire weight rating,” NYSP said.
