An Ohio-headquartered trucking company has been acquired by Michigan-based expedited transportation and logistics service provider Load One.
On October 25, the companies announced that Detroit-headquartered Load One has acquired Millbury, Ohio-based trucking company Tri-State Expedited Service, Inc. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s SAFER website, Tri-State operates 124 power units and employs 154 drivers. The company was founded in 1978 and provides expedited transportation services throughout all 48 states, and in Mexico and Canada.
The companies say that the acquisition will expand Load One’s North American network of owner-operators, carrier partners, and company drivers and allow the joint companies to provide customers with “exceptional service for time-critical, time-sensitive, and high-value freight needs.”
