Oscar Mayer Wienermobile loses control in Chicago

One of the six Oscar Mayer Wienermobiles lost control and crashed into another vehicle in Chicago on Monday afternoon. 

The accident happened on July 22nd on Interstate 294 in Chicago, Illinois. 

According to NBC, the mobile hotdog hit a Hyundai sedan and then lost control. The Wienermobile then overcorrected and overturned, landing on its side. 

The Oscar Mayer vehicle was later hauled away on a flatbed tow truck. No information on injuries has been released, and the reason for the initial crash is not clear. 

The Wienermobile is next scheduled to make an appearance in Chicago on July 27th. The company states that it has “six different hot dogs on wheels driving around the country at all times.”
