Oversize load to affect traffic on NH bridges and roadways Monday night

Traffic on several major New Hampshire roads and bridges will be affected on Monday night as crews work to safely transport an oversize load.

The transport of a large piece of heavy equipment will begin at 9 p.m. on Monday, June 17th, and is expected to last through 2 a.m. on June 18th.

According to MyKeeneNow News, the load will be hauled by Trans American Trucking Service, weighs 455,000 pounds, and is 239 feet long. The route stretches from the Everett Turnpike in Nashua to Route 12 in Keene, and includes segments along the Everett Turnpike, I-293, I-93, I-89, and US Route 202/NH Route 9.

In order to make the journey, the convoy will need to complete 59 special bridge crossings. In order to complete the crossings, rolling roadblocks will be implemented. Yellow light escorts and New Hampshire State Police will also be involved in the transport in order to direct traffic.

Drivers are advised to expect delays in the area overnight and are asked to use extreme caution.
