Pickup driver just loads bobtail onto his trailer and takes it

Police are searching for a person accused of stealing a bobtail semi truck from a gas station in North Carolina late last month. 

The incident happened on October 21st in Granville County, North Carolina at a Speedway gas station at 1545 Highway 56. 

According to CBS 17, a white 2020 Peterbilt 389 bobtail semi truck was parked outside of the gas station while the trucker was off duty when gas station cameras captured a pickup truck loading it onto a trailer and driving it away. 

Police say that the pickup had “Smokehouse Lumber Company” stickers on the doors. A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information on the suspect.
