Pilot to build 10 new truck stops in 2024

On Tuesday, Pilot Travel Centers announced plans to build 10 new truck stops in 2024.

In a March 5 statement, Knoxville, Tennessee, headquartered Pilot said that the company’s growth plan for 2024 includes building 10 new travel centers in “several states,” to add approximately 500 new truck parking spaces to the Pilot network.

Pilot also plans to add 25 dealer locations in 2024 to give truckers “access to more stops along their routes that are eligible for Pilot Travel Centers LLC’s myRewards loyalty perks and other company programs.”

“Expanding into new communities and enhancing our services remains a key part of our long-term strategy,” said Allison Cornish, senior vice president of store modernization and development at Pilot Travel Centers LLC. “We continually evaluate our network with our guests’ needs in mind and are making significant investments in our travel centers to provide drivers an exceptional experience at every stop along their journey.”

In 2023, Pilot added 10 stores in Yucca and Ash Fork, Arizona; Colton and Rialto, Californa; Gallup, New Mexico; McCarran, Nevada; Edon, Ohio; Holladay, Tennessee; Odessa, Texas; and Wamsutter, Wyoming.

In January 2024, Berkshire Hathaway Inc. acquired the final 20% of the Haslam family’s stake in Pilot, giving the company 100% of Pilot Travel Centers.

Founded in 1958, Pilot operates 870 Pilot, Flying J and One9 locations in 44 states and six Canadian provinces.
