Semi loses load of metal across Tennessee highway

A highway in Tennessee was shut down due to a semi truck losing its load on Friday morning.

The accident happened on December 6th in Madisonville, Tennessee at about 11:15 a.m.

According to the Madisonville Police Department, the semi truck lost its load of metal on Highway 411 southbound at Wayman Road. The scattered metal forced the closure of the roadway as crews worked to clear the wreckage.

Southbound Highway 411 was reduced to one lane and Wayman Road was completely shut down.

Police warn drivers that the road may be closed for an extended period of time and suggest they seek alternate routes.
