Semi truck hauling military vehicle hit by train, South Carolina cops say

Police responded on Thursday to a collision involving a train and a semi truck hauling heavy military equipment.

The collision occurred around 12:40 p.m. on September 12 in Goose Creek, South Carolina.

The Goose Creek Police Department (GCPD) confirmed that a “train vs. 18 wheeler accident occurred” at Liberty Hall and Red Bank Road.

WCBD reports that the truck was hauling a military vehicle on a lowboy trailer when it got stuck at the railroad crossing.

No injuries were reported.

CSX has been notified of the collision.

Berkeley County officials say that roads in the area will be closed for a few hours.
