Semi truck placed out of service for duct taped driver’s side window

A semi truck was placed out of service and the truck driver was charged for operating the vehicle with duct tape as a window glass replacement.

A concerned citizen contacted the Ontario Provincial Police about the vehicle earlier this month, and officers quickly worked to locate the commercial vehicle in Amour Township.

According to CTV News, police located the semi truck in question and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, officers determined that the tractor trailer had a driver’s side window entirely covered in duct tape, and was unsafe for travel.

The 27-year-old truck driver from Brampton was charged with no clear view to sides, improper mirror on a CMV, careless driving, and failing to report an accident.

The CMV was placed out of service.
