Semi truck stopped on I-5 to corral chickens escaping from trailer

A semi truck stopped on Interstate 5 in Seattle on Thursday morning to corral some chickens escaping from an apparent hole in the trailer.

The incident occurred on May 23rd on Interstate 5 north of Olive Street in Seattle, Washington at around 7:45 a.m.

According to KIRO 7, officers described the incident as a “#chickenalert” on social media as they responded to the scene.

Officers worked with the truck driver to capture the initial wave of escaped chickens, but soon realized there were more chickens escaping, and a ladder would be needed to fix the hole. The truck driver then stood outside of his trailer, making sure there were no more chickens escaping as police worked to help him with the hole.

Drivers were asked to use extreme caution while driving through the area in case of any missed chickens. No further information has been released.
