Semi’s trailer snaps in half hauling oversize wind turbine

A semi truck dropped an oversize load on a Oklahoma highway after an equipment failure over the weekend. 

The accident happened on Saturday, December 7th at around 11 a.m. in Catosa, Oklahoma. 

According to Fox 23, the tractor trailer was hauling part of a wind turbine down Tiger Switch Road when the trailer broke in half. The large cylinder then rolled onto the roadway. 

Officials shut down the roadway as they worked to reload the turbine onto a new trailer and clear the incident. 

No further information on the accident has been released.
