A semi truck decorated with a festive halloween skeleton was filmed rear-ending a car in a potential road rage incident earlier this month.
The incident occurred in the Birmingham, Alabama area on Interstate 65.
According to CBS 42, retired police officer Jim Biddle was driving to visit his son when a semi truck rear-ended him on the highway. Biddle describes the incident as possible road rage, but does not mention a possible cause.
“Nearly put me into the concrete barrier,” Biddle said. “I know what happens when a car gets pushed into a concrete barrier. They don’t stay against the barrier. They come out. The truck would have had no way of stopping, and with my car being so small, there would have been a major accident.”
Biddle was able to film a portion of the incident and contacted 911, as well as filed a police report.
In light of the incident, local law enforcement advises that drivers not engage if someone appears to be road raging. They also suggest that drivers head to a police station, fire station, or other populated area if they are being followed in a suspected road rage incident.
