Steer tire blowout sends rig veering across interstate

A truck driver was hurt Monday after a wreck caused by a steer tire blowout in Missouri. 

The accident happened on August 26th on Highway 249 near Zora, Missouri. 

According to KOAM News, the tractor trailer was heading south on 249 when the left steer tire blew out, causing the rig to veer across the northbound lanes before coming to a stop in a nearby field. 

The truck driver sustained injuries described as non life threatening and was taken to a nearby hospital. No other injuries were reported.
