Police have a person in custody in connection with a suspected arson incident at a downtown Oklahoma City trucking company facility on Tuesday morning.
Firefighters responded around midnight on July 9 to a trucking facility at Northwest 3rd and Western in Oklahoma City.
According to Fox 25, three dumpsters at the facility caught fire.
Firefighters were called back to the scene at 5 a.m. after the building also caught fire.
Police reportedly located a suspect near the scene with gas cans, fuel, and lighters. The suspect told police he wanted to set something on fire, according to the report.
The man has been charged with arson.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters struggled to knock down the fire because of the materials inside the building.
“They rapidly had to cut holes through that front door of this trucking company to be able to get into it, to be able to start putting water on the fire,” OKCFD Chief Grant Roberts told KOCO.
This is a developing story.
