Tractor trailer runs over man that fell out of box truck in Brooklyn

A man is dead after falling out of a box truck and getting run over by a passing tractor trailer. 

The accident occurred on Monday, November 18th in Brooklyn, New York. 

According to Daily News, 65-year-old Shumi Izjaguev was loading a box truck on Columbia St. near the Erie Basin in Red Hook when he stumbled and fell out of the trailer, landing in the street. Izaguev was then struck by a passing tractor trailer, which did not stop. 

Izjaguev was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

Investigators say that the truck driver who struck Izjaguev may not have known he hit someone. There have been no arrests in connection to the incident.
