Tractor trailer slides down embankment after exiting Interstate 840 in Williamson County, Tennessee on Thursday morning.
The accident happened early on March 21st on I-840 east at the I-65 north exit.
According to WSMV 4, the semi truck was heading east on I-840 when it took the exit to I-65 north. The rig then crashed through a guardrail and slid off of the road, causing it to skid down an embankment. The truck cab stayed hung up on the guardrail while the trailer dangled off the side.
No injuries were reported in the crash, but the incident did cause major traffic delays as crews worked to pull the semi truck back onto the roadway and clear debris from the wreck.
Drivers heading north from Spring Hill were urged to find alternate routes for their Thursday morning commute.
Williamson Co: The 840 Eastbound off-ramp to I65 Northbound is blocked due to an earlier CMV crash. Right now, only the shoulder of the road is open. Find an alternate route, as traffic will back up quickly this morning. pic.twitter.com/tiz5N1SqJF
