Trimac Transportation acquires North Carolina-based bulk hauler with 60 trucks

Canadian-headquartered Trimac Transportation announced the acquisition of a North Carolina-based bulk hauler.

This week, Trimac acquired Feldspar Trucking Co, based in Spruce Pine, North Carolina.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Feldspar Trucking will retain its company name after the acquisition.

Feldspar Trucking was founded in 1967 as Norris Trucking and specializes in the transportation of materials such as feldspar, sand, lime, and gravel for the ceramics and glass industries.

The company operates approximately 60 trucks and employs 60 drivers.
