Truck driver tries to push man into deep fryer for “disrespecting” his wife

Truck driver attacks McDonald’s cook after his wife accuses her coworkers of “disrespecting” her as she trained to be a manager.

The incident occurred on December 28th at a McDonald’s on South Main Street in High Point, North Carolina.

According to Business Insider, 44-year-old Latoya Gladney was training to be a manager at the location when she felt her fellow employees were “disrespecting” her. She then called her husband, 57-year-old Dwayne Waden, to help her handle the situation.

“The offender came into the McDonalds on S Main Street, walked around the counter and placed his hands around the neck of the victim pushing his head toward the deep fryer,” stated the police report. Waden then allegedly punched the cook several more times, leaving him with “a large contusion” on his forehead and right eye. Waden only stopped the assault when other employees pulled him off of the man, and those employees restrained him until police arrived.

Officers viewed security footage of the incident and then arrested Waden. He was held on $1,000 bail. Waden is a pastor and truck driver, according to his Facebook page. His trial has been scheduled for January 22nd.
