Truck driver’s gas station kerfuffle caused ‘complete road closure,’ cops say

The Franklin Police Department (FPD) out of Massachusetts responded to an unusual incident involving a stuck semi truck at a gas station.

FPD reported a road closure on the morning of November 15 due to a stuck truck at a Mobile gas station located at West Central Street in Franklin, Massachusetts.

Images shared by police appear to show the trailer of the semi truck hung up on the fueling island canopy.

Police said that a crane was required to move the stuck semi, requiring a “complete road closure.”

“When in doubt…GPS!” FPD said in a social media post detailing the incident.

The incident closed Route 140 eastbound from Grove Street to the Village Mall as well as the 495 southbound on-ramp, but FPD said that the road reopened shortly after 1:30 p.m.
