Truck loses trailer off overpass, squashing front end of Jeep

One woman was injured after a trailer fell off an overpass and onto her car in Florida on Monday. 

The accident happened in Hillsborough County, Florida on November 25th just after noon, reported ABC Action News.

According to WTSP News, a 31-year-old trucker was heading north on the Interstate 75 ramp to Interstate 4 when the semi truck crashed into the concrete barrier, causing the trailer to overturn and fall off of the overpass. The trailer then landed on US Highway 92, also known as Hillsborough Avenue, and struck an oncoming Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 61-year-old woman. 

The woman sustained serious injuries in the crash. No other injuries have been reported. As of 3 p.m. EST crews were still working to remove the trailer.
