Trucker and work truck driver dead following road rage incident on Pennsylvania Turnpike

Police are sharing new information on a fatal road rage incident that took place on the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Friday.

The road rage incident took place around 1 p.m. on Friday, May 31, in Brecknock Township, Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) say that a 40 year old man driving a flatbed work truck was shot in the head in the eastbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

The work truck driver was hospitalized and later died in the hospital on Monday, June 3.

Police identified a white tractor trailer as a suspect vehicle in the shooting.

The tractor trailer was discovered in the parking lot of a shopping center in Caernarvon Township on Saturday, July 1.

The driver, a 59 year old Virginia resident, was found dead in the cab from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

PSP says that the deceased truck driver was identified as the shooter from the Friday road rage incident.

Anyone who witnessed the road rage incident is asked to call PSP.
