A truck driver is dead after a crash on an overpass in Baton Rouge on Monday morning.
The accident happened on July 22nd on Interstate 10 along the eastbound split at Interstate 110 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
According to WBRZ News, the commercial vehicle jackknifed while driving along the overpass, sending it crashing through the barrier wall. The crash left the cab of the tractor trailer dangling off the overpass and ejected the truck driver.Â
The coroner was called to the scene of the wreck, but the truck driver has not been identified. No further information has been released.
The two right lanes are now blocked on I-10 East past Nicholson Drive leaving the left lane open due to an accident. Congestion is approaching LA 415 (Lobdell).
