A trucker hauling snowmobiles was ticketed after crashing into a Port of Entry inspection building in New York on Sunday.

The incident occurred at 9 a.m. in February 18 at the Port of Entry located on Wellesley Island, New York, amid winter weather conditions.

Thirty-four year old Canadian driver Maxime Taillefer struck yellow pole barriers, a fire hydrant, and the Port of Entry inspection building, ripping the door off the building, WWNYTV reports.

A passenger in the semi truck suffered minor cuts in the crash.

No one was inside the inspection building when the crash occurred.

Taillefer was ticketed for “speed not reasonable and prudent” and “moving from lane unsafely.”

Taillefer was reportedly hauling a load of snowmobiles.

The Wellesley Island Fire Department shared several photos of the damage caused by the crash.
