Trucker will use lottery winnings to pay for his kids’ college

A truck driver won a $1 million prize after buying a scratch-off from a gas station this month.

Truck driver Pedro Chacon says he stopped at a gas station in Everett, Massachusetts and decided to purchase a scratch off. According to 7 News, when he scratched the $1M Winning 7 instant ticket, he discovered that he had won the game’s top prize.

Instead of collecting $1 million over time, Chacon chose to receive his winnings in a one time payment of $650,000.

Chacon says he plans to use the winnings to pay for the education of his three children.
