Two arrested for in-cab murder of semi truck driver at Nashville Love’s truck stop

Two people have been arrested in connection to the shooting death of a semi truck driver in Nashville earlier this year.

On December 19, 2024, the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) announced the arrest of Charvelle Clark, 46, of California, and Nikki Landry, 36, of Louisiana.

Police say that the pair have been jailed in Holmes County, Florida, in connection with the murder of North Carolina-based truck driver David White, 37.

White was discovered deceased from gunshot wounds inside the cab of his truck at the Love’s Travel Center in East Nashville on January 8, 2024.

He was found by Love’s employees after his company, KA Logistics, called the truck stop to ask for a welfare check.

White had last been seen alive around 7:20 p.m. on January 7, while buying food inside of the Love’s store.

Police said that a traffic stop in Florida led to the arrest of Clark and Landry.

This is a developing story.
