Two at large after fleeing semi crash that ejected a passenger

Police are searching for two motorists who fled after a crash with a semi truck ejected a passenger from their car. 

The accident happened on Monday, May 27th at about 3:50 a.m. near Kennewick, Washington  at the corner of Clearwater Avenue and Highway 395. 

According to Tri-City Herald, a Honda Accord was traveling east on Clearwater Avenue when the motorist ran a stop light and struck a semi truck in the intersection. The force of the impact spun the car, throwing one of the occupants from the vehicle. 

Tyler Harris and an unidentified woman were both seen running from the car, leaving the ejected occupant on the ground and another injured inside of the vehicle. Both abandoned passengers were transported to nearby hospitals, where one remains in critical condition. 

60-year-old truck driver, Clyde A. Brubaker, was not hurt in the accident that ejected a passenger.

Police are searching for Harris and the unidentified woman who fled the scene. It is unclear which of the two was driving at the time of the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Ryan Sauve at 509-572-5161, 509-734-5817 or email at [email protected].
